On the basis of the International Classification of Diseases 10th Revision, 231 (33.4%) patients out of 692 patients included in the study had the G948 code (virus-associated encephalopathy), 429 (62.0%) had the G934 code (acute encephalopathy), and 45 (6.5%) had the F058 code (delirium due to other medical condition) including duplications. Of these, 11 patients had G948 and G934 codes, 1 had G948 and F058 codes, and 1 had G934 and F058 codes
