ADAMTS13 activity was lower than the normal range through the study period and showed a trend of decrease after the surgery. VWF antigen increased significantly after the surgery. There was a significant increase in VWF/ADAMTS13 ratio after the surgery (P < 0.05). There was a significant inverse correlation between ADAMTS13 activity and VWF antigen (P < 0.05).
